The included 4-watt Pet Bed Warmer provides soothing heat any kitty will love. This cat bed also has a washable cover. To clean, remove the cover and wash on the gentle cycle with cold water, then line dry. Designed for indoor use, the Thermo-Kitty Cuddle Up is MET listed and comes with a 1-year limited warranty. Important Safeguards: Consult your veterinarian before use with young puppies/kittens, convalescent pets, during surgery/surgery recovery, or any animal that cannot voluntarily remove themselves from the heated pad. K&H recommends using ONLY the Deluxe Lectro-Kennel Heated Pad for these animals as this pad has an adjustable thermostat. Do not place pad in confined area where the pet does not have the ability to remove themselves from the pad. Remove the foam ring from inside the cover. Wash the cover and cushion on the gentle cycle with cold water. Line dry or use the no-heat cycle on your dryer. Testing Your Thermo-Kitty Cuddle Up You can test the bed by placing a large pillow on top of it. After about 20 minutes, feel under the pillow. It will feel warm, not hot. DO NOT use an extension cord during this test. The surface of the bed will be about 15°F above ambient air temperature until the pet lies on the bed. Then it will warm to about 102°F, which is the natural body temperature of dogs and cats. Product Q&A How do I remove the Pet Bed Warmer? There is a zipper located in the cushion. Simply unzip that and pull the heater out. To find the zipper pull, take your finger and gently poke it through the bed where the cord comes out of the bed. Now look on the other side to see where your finger is poking through. That is where the zipper pull will be located. How long is the cord? The cord is 5.5 feet long. What temperature will this bed reach? The surface of the bed will be about 15°F above ambient air temperature until the pet lies on the bed. Then it will warm to about 102°F, which is the natural body temperature of dogs and cats. Are your heated beds and pads pressure sensitive? Our beds and pads are NOT pressure sensitive.
